Is this a cake?! It is salad!

You think this is a cake?! No. This is salad called Vegedeco salad, which is from my hometown, Nagoya Japan.

I found about Vegedeco salad from my older daughter. One of her classmates made a presentation on this salad at school. As soon as she came home, she told me about this. Ever since then, I wanted to try this in person whenever I have a chance to go back to my hometown.

Eating veggies is always encouraged but sometimes it is challenging. This Vegedeco salad is not only delicious but fun to eat. So beautiful and entertaining!!

Varieties of marinated vegetables are added between the sponge layers that are made from soybean flour. Cream between the layers and on top of the salad is the dressing that is made from tofu. The colors are all natural, that come from veggies such as beets and so on.

I also bought this recipe book. Wow I am excited to make Vegedeco salad with my daughters!
